Awful Food and Insulted by Staff

We were walking down the street and noticed the sign for the $5.99 lunch special and went in. A man outside advised us not to eat there, but we thought we'd try it anyway. Big mistake! The room is very tacky, with carpet on the walls, and seems not to have been upgraded for 35 years. The restaurant was virtually empty the entire time we were there. Our group of five people had various choices from the menu, and everything was horrible. Even the mashed potatoes were watery and seemed to have been made from powdered potatoes.
