"....Just Not Special..."

We were excited  to go, the reviews were great...but the place was not as great as everyone made it seem. Our Starters were less than impressive, the Calamari was  overdone, almost burnt, and tiny!! Where did all the larger pieces of calamari go? Maybe to the tables against the brick wall...(see below). Asparagus was  just that - Asparagus. Steamed with an unimaginative vinaigrette, and not even a nice colour...some of the pieces were that pretty "i have not been  overcooked" bright green, but most were that "i have seen better days" colour.
