Booking hotels online is always a little dicey, but sometimes you get lucky. The Dream Hotel beautifully and comfortably blends old New York style and class with young, hip and now. The building has stood since 1918, but renovations were completed in 2004. The exterior has been immaculately restored while maintaining the original feel and look, accented by blue up-lighting on every window sill. Inside is clean and cool. The cozy lobby is built around a floor to ceiling, cylandrical fish tank. The front desk is staffed with courteous, beautiful ladies. The elevators are small, but modern and safe. Bellhops are friendly, helpful and the Concierge knows the city. Rooms are on the small side, but a large, deluxe single, wtih king bed is more than adequate for the business traveler or couple. Walls are stark white, with soft, blue lighting, one piece of art and a flat-creen T.V. ...
