BROKE-OLOGY is about the King family who have weathered the hardships of life and survived with their love for each other intact. The father lives in the house the boys grew up in. He's alone, but he maintains his allegiance with their mother in his own way. When the brothers are called home to take care of him, they find themselves strangely at odds.

Nathan Louis Jackson is a 2009 graduate of the Juilliard School and a graduate of Kansas State University. He is the winner of two Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Awards, the Mark Twain Playwrighting Award and is the recipient of the Kennedy Center's Gold Medallion. Mr. Jackson's work is reminiscent of Lorraine Hansberry in its true-to-life naturalism, and also of Carson McCullers in its quiet moments of emotional conflict.

Thomas Kail directed the hit Broadway musical In The Heights, for which he won a 2007 Joseph A. Callaway Award and was nominated for a Tony Award, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. He is a consulting producer and a Music Director on the new PBS television show "The Electric Company." This summer he directed the City Center Encores! Summer Star series production of The Wiz.
