Excellent expertise -- high prices, grumpy employees

In Manhattan, you get what you pay for. And that sometimes means EXCELLENT EXPERTISE, HIGH PRICES -- AND SERVICE WITHOUT A SMILE. Welcome to S&V. Remember that crabby soup-store owner in those old Seinfeld episodes. This place is a hardware store version of that. You almost imagine -- to use a play on the Seinfeld line -- an S&V clerk saying to you, "No screwdriver for you!" These guys really know their stuff.
