Makeup Mania on the Lower East Side is one of the coolest shops we’ve come across in a while. Not only does the beauty goods store sell bath and body products, and makeup, but they also offer custom wigs and facial hair, as well as a section called “Special FX” which features masks, prosthetic appliances, and false teeth (for fun). There’s also a nail boutique where you can get a manicure/pedicure, or just purchase supplies to do it yourself. Finally, Makeup Mania offers private classes to teach you how to do what the artists who work at the store do so well so you can make better use of the products you buy!
