I bought an $875 KHS bike from Chelsea Bicycles. When I arrived at the time they gave me to pick it up, work hadn't started on the bike. When the bike finally was assembled, they had mounted the hand brake in the wrong place and given me lower quality components then were promised. Finally, they sent me out the door without filling the tires with air. I would not go back here again.

 GURU 
Bike repair artisans.

Chelsea Bicycles is a small shop near F.I.T. with a talented staff that handles any tire repair up through welding with professionalism. Fortunately they're close to my office, but they open a bit late for my morning commute. Take their 10am open with a grain of salt -- the may float in around 10:30. But they've always done a good job keeping my bike on the road and recommending the best tire to stand up to city riding.
Very ethical, never pushed for un-necessary repairs, and reasonably quick.
