Williamsburg's northern neighbor, Greenpoint is in itself a pretty swank hipster haven. The long disputed territory of McCarren Park lies arguably within the borders of the neighborhood and serves as a meeting place for the two neighborhood's kickball leagues and various other athletic organizations. Greenpoint also has a confluence of picturesque churches: Saint Athony Of Padua, the Episcopal Church of The Ascension, and St. Cecilia's. The neighborhood is also home to the Eberhard-Faber Pencil Factory and the Greenpoint Monitor Museum, which celebrates Robert Fulton's (of Fulton Ferry) Civil War-era ironclad warship.
