Editorial Review
Eddie Huang's first restaurant runneth over, necessitating the opening of Xiao Ye (formerly known as Crackhaus, which understandably didn't stay on the drawing board very long) on the Lower East Side. This is Eddie Huang we're talking about, so it's not surprising to find Ghost Face dumplings—which take their name from one of the members of the Wu-Tang Clan (not the Staten Island one)—and a panoply of stunning Asian cuisine that includes very sparing treatments of delicious pork, oxtail, spare ribs, and chicken, allowing the flavor of the meats to speak for themselves, which they do admirably.
