Editorial Review
Perhaps it was bound to happen: a rural Japanese fantasy seemingly conjured up from Tarantino's "Kill Bill" hits TriBeCa. This $3.5 million, 6,500-square-foot lavish setting features waiters in Ninja garb serving up diverse offerings as well as expensive prix-fixe menus. Time will tell whether this ninja can conquer New York, but the initial reports are that the horrifyingly overpriced food (prix fixe menus range from $80 to $200) and the service are insufferable. That a restaurant with such a huge initial investment can fare so poorly is rather astounding; meantime, you would be wiser to spend your money elsewhere.
