Editorial Review
Sister restaurant to the original Park Avenue branch, Les Halles Downtown is a steakhouse that also serves classic French brasserie dishes like Onion Soup, Grilled Sea Food, Confit de Canard, and Choucroute Garnie, (familiar to fans of Brasserie Les Halles on Park Avenue). There are also less familiar French dishes, such as Tartiflette, a combination of thinly sliced potatoes layered with bacon and baked with Reblochon cheese. Les Halles Downtown sliced potatoes layered with bacon and baked with Reblochon cheese. Les Halles Downtown also takes advantage of its proximity to the Tribeca Farmers’ Market for the best local produce, and the family-run fish markets of Chinatown for the freshest seafood. Les Halles Downtown also serves more casual offerings such as a “French dip” sandwich and a Hamburger, both served with Les Halles’ famous French fries for those who just want to drop in for a quick bite to eat.
