Editorial Review
You won't find many Argentinian restaurants south of the border—i.e. south of Canal Street—and that's a pity. The terrific steaks and cuisine of Buenos Aires come to life in this cavernous space, where every piece of furniture is authentic and imported from Argentina. The free range meat from Executive Chef Fernando Trocca is truly terrific, and the 100% Argentinian wine list contains a number of wonderful selections—our advice: focus on Mendoza. For a light meal, take a seat at the bar and enjoy an appetizer of chorizo or empanadas saltenas, or perhaps a lomito or choripan sandwich. A particular specialty of the house is the Patagonian-style suckling pig, served only twice weekly. Grilled meat selection for two is a nice romantic choice—kirt steak, sweet breads, lamb chops, sausage, blood sausage and short ribs. served with mesclun salad and french fries.
