Astoria's first Tibetan-style restaurant offers Tibetan standards plus a wide selection of organic teas in a comfortable setting. With comfy banquettes, soothing colors, and funky lighting, Himalaya Teahouse looks like it's been transported right out of Lhasa's chic new restaurant quarter. An obvious eye for good design aside, the momos and thukpa are probably the best in New York City. In addition to the vegetarian dishes, Tibetan desserts round out the menu. A great gathering place for a diverse community!
