Editorial Review
Da Silvano could be considered the "Don" of celebrity eateries in New York City. Owner Silvano Marchetto opened the doors way back in 1975 and earned his claim to fame in restaurant circles by introducing New Yorkers to "Cucina Toscana", or authentic Italian cuisine from the Tuscany region. In 2001 Silvano collected his favorite recipes and published Da Silvano Cookbook, giving a broader public insight into his Tuscan taste and Italian culinary artistry.

The list of celebrity clientele who frequent Da Silvano is comprised of both out-of-town stars such as Jack Nicholson, Steven Spielberg, Donna Karan, Paul McCartney, as well as New York insiders, such as Graydon Carter, Yoko Ono, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Da Silvano plays host to some of the world's best known artists, actors, musicians, and business moguls, and does so on a daily basis.
