Ava's rooftop lounge - what dreams are made of

Stepping into the lobby of the Dream Hotel on W 55th puts you in an altered state before you even step into the elevator to the penthouse to enjoy Ava Lounge.  The hotel is brimming with other-worldly curiosities from your deepest dreams and nightmares -- a giant barrel-shaped fish tank, enormous Buddhas, cabinets of exotic treasures, a raven, and other oddities. Even the elevator ride is marked by video of a soothing massage treatment and huge blue-tinted photo murals on each floor (and the elevator seems to stop on each floor).  The rooftop enjoys elegant views of Midtown and Broad...

GREAT VIEWS at AVA

Ava Penthouse Bar - the rooftop bar at the Dream Hotel offers fantastic views, a hip/cool atmosphere, a dj spinning great music and is overall a great destination, hotel guest or not.  It is next door to D'Or (previously reviewed and to be updated), but about 25 floors higher. Walk through the interesting lobby of the hotel and take the elevator straight up to the penthouse.  It has a rustic, yet retro/modern feel to it. ava lounge

amazing view from the rooftop. pretty waitresses and ecclectic sounds. who could ask for a funner time? the ambience was remarkable, impeccable lighting. the decor is a sort of vintage modern.
