Morimoto is a NO GO

I was so delighted to attend one of the "Iron Chef's"; celebrated restaurants, only to be so disappointed in the end. We had a party of 6, so we were able to sample a good portion of the menu. I was expecting the flavors to be spectacular, but the tuna tartar was average at best and the oysters (3) with uni and fois gras did not even blend the flavors together as I would have expected. The duck dish was less than spectacular as the flavors really came from the condiment sauce rather than the duck itself. We all sampled the halibut, the black cod dish, and the sea bass as well. Morimoto

Morimoto was an avgerage resturant. With Mori Motto's reputation I thought the resturant would have had MUCH better food. Out waitress never smiled and was almost lifeless. But the resturant it self was beautiful and the food looked good (but it didn't taste that way!). Its also WAY to expensive! I would skip this!
