12th Street Bar & Grill

Just one block away from Prospect Park, 12th Street Bar & Grill is a heavily curtained, much-loved local restaurant that's more bistro than bar or grill. The ampersand between the bar and grill at 12th Street obscures one completely from the other, thankfully, as the sports games and loud conversation would otherwise spoil the laid-back atmosphere of the restaurant. The food is more pricey than cheap, but it is a truly delicious mixture of American classics—like the neighborhood-beating burgers—and Mediterranean fare, which includes a selection of mouth-watering Italian dishes.
