Generally great
Pros: Quality of playing
Cons: Repetitive and relatively uninteresting programming
Quality of productions is usually very good (though it looks more complicated that it should be) and orchestra is outstanding. Generally the singers are excellent. The only problem is the Met (after I have been attending for 25+ years) becomes boring if you're experienced in participating in things classical. there is very little innovative programming, unlike City Opera across the plaza. Subtitle screens at the seats are terrific.
