disappointed fan
Pros: price
Cons: lousy service, bland food, lousy service
always liked Flays cooking on his shows, was looking forward to trying mesa grill, unfortunately turned out to be another starve you charge you enterprise, front hostess reception was welcoming, and speedy service for a busy friday night, once we got to the table, went downhill, waitress asked bottle or tap about 5 times, each time we kept getting louder, BOTTLE!! wife enjoyed her meal, i found it bland, i had the oysters, it was ok, deep fried anything is tasty, for entree i had the venison with a side of spinach, to start my meal, i never got the wine i ordered and waitress never returned. the venison was bland and required the sweet sauce for any taste, for a side i had the spinach, how can they screw up a side of spinach? well they managed to find a way, it was served still in its water, not sauteed but boiled, and served with basically pot water. for the price, i actually found the price reasonable for a high end restaurant, $122 for 2, maybe it was low because never got our wine, and didnt stick around for coffee and desert, after dinner we went straight home with stomach rumbling to get some food
