Unless
you're a regular on the nightlife scene it's hard to know which nights
are best at different clubs. Generally speaking in New York, Mondays
belong to Butter, Tuesdays and Saturdays to 1OAK, Wednesdays to LIT,
and the rest are up for grabs.
Until now.
While it's
been the best underground party in Manhattan for a while, Goldbar
Sunday is now officially the best night in the city.
-DJ Jesse Marco, at Goldbar preparing for a set-
Resident
DJ Jesse Marco, and his new partner in crime DJ Sinatra, have teamed up
to create a musical tour de force the likes of which haven't been seen
in ages. The New York bred duo keep the night going with their patented
sound: a steady stream of hip hop favorites from stars like Wu-Tang,
Lil' Wayne, Kanye and Biggie mixed in with oldies like "Shout" and "La
Bamba"...and a bit of electro here and there.
Together these
two have a phenomenal knowledge of all musical genres and a straight
vision for splicing it all together. Throw in the thrill of spotting
the occasional Victoria's Secret model, hip-hop mogul, or major league
athelete and you have the perfect ambiance for dancing all night to the
best music.
Plus, the walls are adorned with gold skulls...and they're really, really cool.
So
don't hesitate to throw on your cutest pair of (comfy) heels or kicks
and we'll see you on Sunday at the corner of Mulberry and Broome!

I am pleased to announce that the Barney's Warehouse Sale is back in town. So naturally this means that I am extremely pleased to announce that my very first blog post has the potential to change the lives of any who come across it.

-Shot at the scene of the chaotic event-
This sale is epic: it's been featured in Sex and the City, Will and Grace, and every fashion blog you've ever read. Attendees have a shot at scoring something Proenza for under $2,000 or maybe even some Marc for less than $50! Everything is 50-75% off, and, although the sale started on August 14th, any NY-er in the know will tell you that it's no use going until the last week when everything is 75-85% off.
...That means NOW!
As in... run (don't walk) to 255 west 17th st., between 7th and 8th, open 10-9 PM on weekdays, 10-7 PM on weekends. And get ready to fight for that final pair of last season's Louboutins. No, really.
