Only if you like your steak burnt to a crisp
My wife and I shared a steak for two, ordered medium well. This should be brown on the outside with very little to no pink on the inside. The steak was served burnt on the outside. The taste of the charred steak was terrible. The resturans response was first a statement that we should have ordered the steak medium....wrong! another response was to ask if we were european (what this had to do with it i am not sure). Not once did they offer to take the steak back and cook it correctly.

Medium well is in fact charred on the outside. It's always safer to order medium and then ask them to put it back on if it's still too pink. But once you've charred it, there's no going backâyou can't re-cook an overdone steak.
