Are Cordially Invited To A Mixed-Media Group Exhibition Curated By Ryan Schneider
WITH TEETH
Priska C. Juschka Fine Art is pleased to present WITH TEETH, a
multi-faceted group exhibition of hard-working/hard playing and
feverish young artists curated by painter Ryan Schneider. Utilizing a
decidedly Do It Yourself aesthetic, Schneider has pieced together a
group of seventeen artists working in various media, most of whom are
personally connected in some way to him and each other. Their work
relates loosely to one another and seems to have been propelled by
certain cultural references which generate a conceptual common ground.
Featuring Artists:
Kane Austin, Sarah Braman, Talia Chetrit, Adrian Crabbs, Ry Fyan,
Suzannr Goldenberg, Jenna Gribbon, Van Hanos, Alex Hubbard, Ryan
Kitson, Marcus Knupp, Gretchen Scherer, Chad Scoville, Telepathe, Jade
Townshend, James J. Williams III and Michael Yinger
Opening Reception: Thursday, June 28th, 6 pm – 9 pm
Priska C. Juschka Fine Art
547 West 27th Street, 2nd Floor
New York, NY 10001
Exhibition Dates: June 28 – July 28, 2007
Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 11 am – 6 pm or by appointment

Lou Laurita
THERE’S A PARTY GOING ON
(excerpts from personal profiles, affirmations and popular songs)
June 28—August 2nd, 2007
For his second solo exhibition with the gallery, Lou Laurita presents
fifteen large scale gouache paintings of imagery meticulously rendered
within text. As the title suggests, the exhibition is organized around
three forms of language found online: personal profiles, affirmations
(or positive assertions/declarations,) and popular song lyrics. Imagery
includes portraits of drunken couples, small disasters, Victorian
botanicals, and coloring book illustrations. His collaging of the
textual and the visual is arranged in an intuitive manner that employs
the associative possibilities between visual perception and the
interpretation of language.
Guild & Greyshkul is located at 28 Wooster Street, New York, NY,
10013. Hours prior to July 4 are Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-6pm. Summer
hours take effect after July 4 and are Monday-Friday, 11am-6pm. Guild
& Greyshkul will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th. For more
information, please contact the gallery at 212-625-9224 or visit
