TheDanger Presents:
The Euphoria Experiment
Saturday, March 24th
11pm to 11am (and beyond...)
Step 1: Create an indelicate mixture of beautiful people,
intoxicating music and free endless liquor. Step 2: Stir
it up within the cozy confines of our deep Brooklyn loft.
Step 3: Add a drop of fire and a touch awe. Expected
result: sweat, beauty, magic.
Welcome to the Euphoria Experiment.
The idea is simple; we bring out the best elements of our
big events without the excess of the masses. Expect a
night of conversation, extended consciousness and revelry
without bounds.
Featuring Performers:
Shawn Grady : This performance marks the New York City
record release of the delicate yet indelible sound of
Shawn Grady. Shawn has developed her beautifully tragic
music through storied travels across the nation: from the
parched earth of East Texas, to the green waters of the
Mississippi to the maple tree paradise of backwoods
Vermont. Her sound melts the essence of Billy Holiday,
the power of Janis Joplin and the boozy darkness of late
era Tom Waits. Expect a performance of delicate intimacy
within our Bedouin lounge.
Miss Elixir & The Mourning Glories : A gorgeous surprise
of moody melody and dreamy vocalizations by one of our
favorite collaborators. This gift of sound will inspire
spontaneous harmonies through the most sultry part of the
evening.
Thomas Beale : The Great American Accordion Riot is better
known as the master sculpture artist who has spent the
several months building the foundations of his masterwork
in a dark corner of West Chelsea. Tonight he emerges from
the studio for a possible turn of spontaneous accordion
melody/sound riot.
Orion : On the main sound system, dance to funky breaks
and deep beats by one of our resident favorites.
Zemi 17 & Dok : From Indonesian house to darkly poetic
drum and bass to world inspired gamelan, Zemi and Dok
bring their years of music inspiration to a head with this
extended late night set bringing in the sunrise and
beyond.
Plus fire performance from SamIam, decor by James Vogel,
magic tea ceremony, sunrise breakfast by Debonair and much
more...
$20 : Free liquor until we're dry.

Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery is pleased to present Ripples, an exhibition
of new work by Ryoko Aoki. The exhibition, the artist’s first at Nicole
Klagsbrun, will be on view from March 23 through April 21, 2007. An
opening reception will be held on Friday, March 23rd from 6 to 8 pm.
The show constitutes an installation of new drawings by the
Japanese-born artist, whose gossamer sketches in pencil and ink
scrutinize both the natural environment and its inhabitants. The title
Ripples refers to the artist's ability to seemingly conjure movement
across the surfaces of her delicately rendered works on paper.

Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery is pleased to announce the first New
York solo exhibition of Brooklyn-based artist Marcos Rosales. The
exhibition will feature new enamel paintings on canvas and large black
macrame sculptures.
Marcos Rosales was born in Waco and raised by an adopted family in
central Texas. His background is reflected in his deeply psychological
work that is both cryptic and sardonic. Earlier works documented his
search for his biological family with several pieces relating to an
actual letter found in his adoption files. This emotional and
apologetic letter from his biological mother was covered with black ink
scribbles concealing all pertinent information. In Rosales' world,
colored by a rural upbringing of witchcraft, Santeria, tarot cards, and
faith healers, the logic of autobiography leads not to the concrete but
to twins, doppelgangers and multiple personalities.
KLAUS VON NICHTSSAGEND GALLERY
Gallery Hours: Friday - Sunday 12-6PM , or by appointment
