• The 5th Annual RxArt Ball, one of New York City’s most anticipated arts events featuring a cocktail party, and a live and silent auction of work’s by leading contemporary artists. Seventeen esteemed curators, including Marella Consolini, Shamim Momin, William Stover, and Suzanne Delehanty each selected artists to transform small canvases into art. Works by artists such as John Baldessari, Tom Friedman, Marcel Dzama, Dana Schutz, and Dave Muller have graciously donated their talent and time to benefit RxArt, a non-profit organization established six years ago by former gallerist Diane Brown. The organization is dedicated to promoting the healing of hospital patients through the exposure of original fine art in-patient, procedure, and examination rooms of healthcare facilities. The 5th Annual RxArt Ball is Co-Chaired by Lisa Anastos, Joanne Leonhardt Cassullo, and David Wasserman. Additionally, the RxArt has enlisted a who’s who list of New York City society to participate this year including Kevin Kline, Phoebe Cates, and Daria Werbory, who have been named to this year’s Benefit Committee. Beth Rudin DeWoody, Cynthia Rowley, and Glenn O’Brien among others are guest curators.
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 8th, from 7pm – 10pm, at Splashlight Studios, located at 529-525 West 35th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues. Tickets start at $150 and are available through www.Rxart.net or 212-260-8797. For press inquiries, please contact Mohamed Alladin at Company Agenda Public Relations, 212 358-9516, Mohamed@companyagenda.com. The 5th Annual RxArt Ball is sponsored by Conde Nast Traveler and Rado Switzerland.

(CLL) PHN LCKN: one night, one location, New York City, no cell phone. In less than twenty years, mobile phones have escalated from rare and expensive luxury items to social staples that facilitate—and often dominate—our relationships and basic interactions. What many see as a new era in communication, others see as an epidemic. This is certain: cell phones have changed our lives.
PopRally and LVHRD invite you to The Museum of Modern Art for an evening of cell phone reflection and experimentation. On this night, guests will have access to Out of Time: A Contemporary View, an exhibition that explores, among other things, how technological advances manipulate perceptions of time in the contemporary world. More details regarding the night's events, including a surprise concert, will be released soon.
Before entering the Museum, all guests must pass through a mandatory phone check, lending their device to a yet-to-be-announced cellular experiment. Don't worry; your phone will come back to you, though you might feel differently about it.
For one night, the modern-day social ritual of cellular coordination with your circle of friends goes on hold as (CLL) PHN-LCKN guests pick one party...and stay there.
