Adele @ Roseland Ballroom, May 5th

England's new queen regnant of jazz, Adele, will play Roseland Ballroom on May 5th. The 20 year-old wunderkind's first album, 19, has already passed the million mark in global sales and hit a peak of #10 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart after her two Grammy Awards earlier this year. Her live shows have become legendary, ranging from full-band to solo acoustic, and tickets are disappearing like Atlantic Yards investors. You'd do well to get your tickets now!

Motown Philly's Boyz II Men @ BB King Blues Club, May 7-8

While the bass may have dropped out of their numbers following the departure of Michael McCary in 2003, Boyz II Men hasn't let it affect their commitment to the craft of singing, as evidence by the gutsy move of recording Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA. Granted, Nathan, Shawn, and Wanya have always been the kind of vocalists that can handle such far-reaching endeavors, and as though to show the approval of the older guard, B.B. King Blues Club will host the trio for two nights, from May 7-8. If you don't already have tickets, we suggest you not wait 'til the end of the road: get your tickets right now, here at NYC.com!

disco-rockers Franz Ferdinand @ Roseland Ballroom, May 7th

The Franz Ferdinand that didn't spark World War I will play the Roseland Ballroom on May 7th. Unlike their namesake, who only put out one trip-hop album under the pseudonym The Archduke Of Funk in 1911, Franz Ferdinand that band is still riding high off the release of their third album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, which charted here in the States and across the pond. A longer recording schedule (over a year, as opposed to You Could Have It So Much Better, which the band admits was an altogether more rushed affair) led to a great album of dancey rock hits that dovetail perfectly with the rest of their catalog and will make the Roseland into a tumult of bopping hipster bodies. And you know what that means: tickets are going to go fast, so make sure you get yours right here at NYC.com!

Dark Was The Night benefit @ Radio City Music Hall, May 3rd

The international HIV and AIDS charity organization Red Hot—famous for their heavy-hitting compilations—will put on a benefit to celebrate their newest release, Dark Was The Night, at Radio City Music Hall on May 3rd. The groundbreaking organization, which has dedicated itself to raising awareness of the worldwide plight of HIV/AIDS, has put together another stunning collection from music's greatest artists, both new and old. The double-CD is part of Red Hot's continuing effort to raise money through the involvement and use of popular culture, and features artists spanning every conceivable musical genre (except, of course, polka). The show at Radio City will feature Bon Iver, Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, the Dirty Projectors, Feist, My Brightest Diamond, the National, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, and David Sitek, with more to be announced. As with most New York City benefit concerts that reach and breach a certain magnitude, there are bound to be guest appearances, unannounced performances, and other once-in-a-lifetime surprises, and the best part is that it all goes to a great cause! So do the right thing and get your tickets now!

Bamboozle Music Festival with No Doubt & Fall Out Boy @ Meadowlands, May 2-3

The fifth annual Bamboozle music festival is coming to the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, May 2nd-3rd. The two-day lineup is, as usual, extensive and mixes reunited and well-established acts alongside local and unsigned bands who jockey every year for a chance to play the festival. The Saturday lineup is headline by Fall Out Boy and includes The Get Up Kids, Third Eye Blind, Cobra Starship, New Found Glory, Boys Like Girls, Bloodhound Gang, Gavin Rossdale, and Hey Monday, among others, while Sunday is headlined by the long-absent No Doubt, with support all day coming from Taking Back Sunday, Sum 41, The Used, Face To Face, Disney pre-fab singer Demi Lovato, Silverstein, and, again, scores of other bands, both known and unknown. No Doubt has revealed that they will play their cover of Adam Ant's "Stand & Deliver" for the first time at Bamboozle, shortly before they perform it on the CW's Gossip Girl. Tickets are going fast, so pick your favorite lineup or block off your entire week, and get your tickets right now!

Violinist Andre Rieu @ Hammerstein Ballroom, April 23rd

Composer, conductor, and—most importantly—violinist André Rieu will play the Hammerstein Ballroom tomorrow, April 23rd. The man who convinced 50,000 football (soccer) fans to dance the waltz will bring selections from his two most recent albums—Live In Australia and Waltzing Matilda—to the 12,000 square foot performance space, which is expected to sell out. Not a problem, of course: we still have tickets right here at NYC.com!

Something Corporate side-project Jack's Mannequin @ The Fillmore, April 22nd

Jack's Mannequin, the popular side-project of Something Corporate's Andrew McMahon, will play the Fillmore at Irving Plaza on April 22nd. The band's wildly successful first album, Everything In Transit, was followed up by a similarly well-received (both critically and commercial) sophomore effort, The Glass Passenger, which debuted at #8 on the US charts—a full 29 spots better than their previous release. The touring that Jack's Mannequin has done so far behind Glass Passenger has been tremendous, with many cities posting sold-out sales figures well in advance of the shows. If you haven't already secured your spot in the crowd, we've still got tickets right here at NYC.com!

innocent criminals Ben Harper & the Relentless 7 @ Webster Hall & Music Hall Of Williamsburg, May 5th & 8th

There are few people who came out of the disparate 90's smelling more like roses than Ben Harper. The man who brought us the hot-and-cold mix of soft vocals and searing slide guitar on "Faded" has steadily put out album after album in the intervening years, garnering critical acclaim with an almost casual coolness. Harper's new project—The Relentless7—will play the Webster Hall on April 5th and the Music Hall Of Williamsburg on April 8th. Unlike the "Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals" days, Relentless7 is a wholly integrated unite, which comes through on the covers they've released via MySpace and their debut album, which comes out the day of the Webster Hall show. A Harper by any other name still sells out venues, so you'd better get your tickets now!

the very-much alive Dead @ MSG & the Izod Center, April 25, 28, & 29

Forging ahead in a seemingly endless tour that started almost 45 years ago, the Dead will play three shows in the next two weeks: first, at Madison Square Garden on April 25th, and then at the Izod Center on April 28th & 29th. The remaining members of Jerry Garcia's The Grateful Dead haven't put out an album since 2003's The Strange Remains, but with the backlog of songs at their disposal, don't expect an abbreviated set. In fact, people entering the Izod Center on the 29th will likely find their seats still occupied by the fans from the previous night, who have either passed out or died during the 20-hour long set. A convoy of fans are probably following the Dead into the city as we speak, so you'd better get your hands on some tickets now before they're all gobbled up.

90's phenoms The Presidents Of The United States Of America @ The Irving Plaza, April 18th

The proprietors of such 90's hits as "Lump" and the ninja-infested "Peaches" return to the Fillmore at Irving Plaza on April 18th. Still touring on the strength of the critically-acclaimed (don't laugh, these are the same guys who were nominated twice for Grammys) These Are The Good Times, People!, their second without the assistance of long-time three-string lead guitarists Dave Dederer. Somehow, the band that started out as an exercise in simplicity—between Dederer and frontman Chris Ballew, the trio weighed in at 5 strings, a full 5 short of the proscribed amount—their music has become steadily more complex, if not more complicated. What's more, they haven't lost the energy that made their live shows so popular during their initial popularity. At this point, it's only matter of time before they become the Nada Surf of 90's novelty rock, so you'd be serving your best interests if you get your tickets right now, here at NYC.com.

Popular punks The Alkaline Trio @ Music Hall of Williamsburg, April 26th

Chicago natives The Alkaline Trio will play the Bowery's Music Hall of Williamsburg on April 26th. Since 2008's Agony & Irony—the band's highest Billboard debut ever—won't be followed up until some time next year, this'll be one of the few occasions to hear something new from the punk triplet 2010. Need tickets? You know we've got plenty of tickets right here at NYC.com!

Pop problem child Lily Allen @ Roseland Ballroom, April 20th

The always-controversial, sometimes-inebriated, and often-barely-dress Lily Allen will play the Roseland Ballroom next Monday, April 20th. This show comes on the heels of a clandestine MySpace performance in the city right after the release of It's Not Me, It's You. Now's your chance to get in on a decidedly not-secret show at one of New York's best venues. But everyone else that missed out on the MySpace show will be competing for tickets, so you'd better secure yours right now!

Scot Rockers Mogwai @ Music Hall Of Williamsburg, April 27-29

Mogwai—Scotland's clown princes of rock and roll—will take the stage at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg from April 27th-29th. The sometimes-instrumental post-rock outfit will need that many dates to A. sate the cache of fans they have in New York, and B. get through any kind of set that could encapsulate their six-album career, including 2008's The Hawk Is Howling. Joining the Matador Records Scots will be the Twilight Sad, who comes from Mogwai's hometown of Glasgow, although not the same record label. There won't be a kilt in the house, but tickets will go fast. Do you have your tickets yet?

Swedish indie band Peter Bjorn & John @ Webster Hall, Musical Hall of Williamsburg April 29 & 30

Stockholm rockers Peter Bjorn And John will take over Webster Hall in Manhattan on April 29th and the Music Hall of Williamsburg on April 30th. The trio, whose collaboration with The Concretes' Victoria Bergsman on "Young Folks" made Writer's Block a hit in the UK and the US, are touring behind the newly-released Living Thing. As with most overseas bands, tour time in the States is limited, so be sure to purchase tickets now to ensure you won't miss the show!

New Zealand's #4 comedy duo The Flight Of The Conchords @ Radio City, April 14 & 15

New Zealand's most popular—and perhaps only—export, The Flight Of The Conchords will play two consecutive nights at Radio City Music Hall on April 14th and 15th. Fresh off of their second season finale on HBO, the farcical folk duo will end their stint at Radio City on the day their second album allegedly drops, featuring five previously unreleased songs and ten from the second season of their popular HBO show. As brilliant as the series is, Jemaine and Bret's true talent is performing, and their devoted fanbase—who are all in on the joke—will no doubt crush every available inch at Radio City. If you don't have your tickets yet, you better get them right away!

Indie popster Of Montreal @ Music Hall Of Williamsburg, April 15 & 16

Consummate weirdos Of Montreal will do a two-night stint at the Bowery's Music Hall Of Williamsburg from April 15th-16th. The Athens, GA band has the dual distinctions of sharing a hometown with indie megastars REM and being a part of the infamous Elephant 6 Collective spawned by Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum, and they've proven their worthiness of the credentials over nine or so critically-acclaimed albums. Their last and highest-charting effort, Skeletal Lamping, may have come out last October, but Barnes & Co. continue to sell out venues as their tour behind this lauded release, so get your tickets now, don your hipster camouflage, and slide unnoticed into Williamsburg!

The Inimitable Dave Matthews Band @ WaMu Theater & Izod Center April 14 & 15

The supremely popular Dave Matthews Band will play Madison Square Garden's WaMu Theater on April 14th and the Izod Center on April 15th. The band, which no college student can graduate without bearing the marks of hearing in regular rotation by hundreds of dorm room speakers, iPods, and people on the lawn in the spring, is finally releasing a new studio album—their first since 2005—in June, and these two shows will offer a rare opportunity to hear new music before it hits retail stores and online distributors. It's worth noting that the album, Big Whiskey And The Groogrux King, is the heavily-bootlegged band's first since the passing of saxophonist LeRoi Moore and features only eight songs according to track lists put together by Rolling Stone and Ants Marching. Once you get your tickets right here at NYC.com, you could always loiter around the tour bus after the show and ask Dave himself what the story is!

Grammy Winners Jennifer Hudson & Robin Thicke @ WaMu Theater, April 10

Platinum-selling, Grammy Award-winning soul singer-songwriter Robin Thicke will join Oscar-Winning and American Idol also-ran Jennifer Hudson at Madison Square Garden's WaMu Theater on April 10th. Thicke and Hudson both released albums in 2008—Thicke's first since the wildly popular Evolution Of... and Hudson's debut album following the award-winning Dreamgirls soundtrack—that rate their own headlining tours, but the two rising stars have instead embarked on a co-headlining tour that is sure to break attendance records across the country. Hall Of Fame guitarist Jeff Beck @ The Fillmore, April 9 & 10

Former member of the Yardbirds, Rod Stewart's collaborator in the Jeff Beck Group, and the man ranked 14 in Rolling Stone's list of greatest guitarist, Jeff Beck will play two shows at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza on April 9th and 10th. You know how every actor or actress can seemingly be linked through Kevin Bacon? Jeff Beck is the musical version of that, with one important difference: Beck isn't in the group The Bacon Brothers. He has, however, played with Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Mick Jagger, Joe Cocker, Queen's Brian May, Roger Waters, and pretty much anyone else whose name can be accurately preceded with "the legendary." While he has recently been heard on Morrissey's Years Of Refusal, his last release, the Grammy-winning Jeff, has been buried by two live albums. Still and all, simply seeing the man in the flesh, doing what he does is a revelatory experience, and one not to be missed if you can all avoid it. Hope you've got your tickets!

Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society @ Hammerstein Ballroom, April 10

Zakk Wylde, longtime axeman for Ozzy Osbourne and student of legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads, will bring his infamous heavy metal outfit, Black Label Society, to the Hammerstein Ballroom on April 10th. The band hasn't released a proper studio album since 2005's Shot To Hell and touring instead in support of the massive live album (and video) Skullage. Fans of Wylde know him as the man with the flailing tresses of hair and the hypnotic paintjob on his guitar, and if previous shows have been any indicator, you might be able to stand on the Jersey side of the Hudson River and still hear the concert with perfect clarity. If you'd rather get tossed around the Hammerstein while Wylde & Co. destroy a thousand people's eardrums, you'd better hurry up and get your tickets now.
