Korn has worn the "nu-metal" label for so long that it can hardly be called "nu" anymore, but the band—who put out their first album fifteen years ago—has always steered clear of getting stale. After the departure of Brian "Head" Welch, the band floundered a bit, but as the days of a Follow The Leader-dominated TRL proved, Korn isn't about to be constrained by mainstream music or a shifting lineup. Since their 2007 untitled album, without long-time drummer Dave Silveria, they've made their way back into the studio to record a follow-up with new(ish) drummer Ray Luzier, and when they play the House Of Blues next month, you can be sure of two things: a blistering set of Korn's best and most classic material, and a preview of what's the come on the new album. Their fanbase is fiercely loyal—which isn't surprising given the no-holds-barred shows they put on year after year—and tickets won't be around for long. But we've got a secret stash right here at NYC.com!

The unceasingly easy-on-the-eyes Katy Perry will play at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza for an entire weekend, punctuating how high her star has risen in such a short time. The blue-eyed chanteuse of "I Kissed A Girl" (the new one, not that old one) and "Hot N Cold" has earned several nominations for Mtv Awards and a Grammy nod, proving that commercial success doesn't always equal accolades; just most of the time. Still riding strong off of her 2008 debut, One Of The Boys, Perry always puts on a bombastic show. The only question is whether you can get tickets to one of the three shows on April 6, 7, and 8. You can if you get tickets right here!

Indie throwbacks the Cold War Kids will play the Bowery's Terminal 5 on April 3rd. The California quartet became seemingly overnight sensations when their 2006 album Robbers & Cowards picked up a huge head of steam in the music blogging community, and their return to New York next week finds them still touring off of 2008's Loyalty To Loyalty, their first release to hit the Billboard 100 (it debuted at #21). New York blogs have been especially fierce proponents of the Dylan-esque band, and their fanbase here is among the biggest and most vocal. You know what that means: you'd better get tickets now before they sell out!

Lady Gaga's electronic dance-pop spectacle, The Fame Ball Tour, will do early and late evening shows at The Bowery's Terminal 5 on May 2nd. Her self-described "traveling museum show" will be the first headlining tour for the 23 year-old musician, built around her only album, the 2008 debut The Fame. We're giving you advance notice on this event because both shows are likely to sell out quickly, and we don't want you to be left in the lurch, so get your tickets now!

Avant garde jazz pianist and multiple Grammy Award-winner Chick Corea and guitarist John McLaughlin will bring their Five Peace Band to the Lincoln Center's Rose Theater for three nights, April 23-25. The band, which has been on a world tour since late last year, represents a historic collection of musicians, most notably Corea and McLaughlin, both of whom used to work with Miles Davis during the Bitches Brew days. Don't kid yourself, though: three back-to-back-to-back concerts don't mean tickets won't sell out. Get yours now!

Perpetrators of "Love Shack" and "Roam" will descend upon Staten Island on May 7th. The nearly-indefinable new wave weirdos are still touring behind 2008's Funplex (their first album in sixteen years), but you can be sure plenty of their classic hits—even, heaven forbid, "Rock Lobster." Fred Schneider and Company don't usually make it to earth on their tours, so be sure to get your tickets before they sell out!

Now that it's come to the final week of shows, The Allman Brothers Band is heating things up! Or, at least, Mr. Slowhand himself is. Eric Clapton joined the fellows on stage on Friday, jamming on "Layla," "Little Wing," and "Key To The Highway." Clapton—whose groundbreaking album Layla And Other Assorted Songs featured Duane Allman on guitar—had been threatening an appearance all month, and it leaves us wondering just who else may show up in these final days. Curious to find out for yourself? We've got tickets right here!

Paul McCartney, ex-Beatle, Wings frotman, and all-around guy-who-needs-no-introduction, will perform a benefit concert for the David Lynch Foundation at Radio City Music Hall on April 4th. The concert, subtitled the Change Begins Within Benefit Concert, will feature Ringo Starr, Donovan, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper, Moby, Bettye Lavette, Paul Horn, and Jim James, and will be a once-in-a-lifetime event that anyone with any means of getting in should see. It helps that a benefit concert should be such a potentially revelatory experience—after all, how often do you get to see the two living Beatles performing together. Those interested (and truthfully, who wouldn't be!) should get their tickets right now!

Bassist, animator, director, novelist, and all-around lunatic Les Claypool will perform at the Bowery's Terminal 5 on March 28th, touring behind his new album Of Fungi And Foe. The former frontman of Primus is known to revisit his old band's hits live, with Oysterhead and Frog Brigade thrown in for good measure. There's always the outside chance that maniac guitarist Buckethead will show up to weild nunchucks during a bass solo, depending on how his medication is holding up. The multi-instrumental Claypool has never put on a bad show in his life, say fans, and in the fifteen years I've been seeing him play live with Primus et al, I can't find a single reason to disagree. The man is a cult icon, so get your tickets now!

PJ Harvey—yes, Uh Huh Her herself—will play at Irving Plaza's Fillmore on March 26th. She's touring in support of the as-yet unreleased A Woman A Man Walked By, due out on March 30th. Her collaborator on the album, musician and producer John Parish (who's worked with the Eels, Tracy Chapman, Goldfrapp, and M. Ward), will join her for the show before the pair embark on an extensive UK and European tour. You know what that means: you've only got one chance to see her stateside, so you'd better get your tickets now!

As with most LTJ shows, this is expected to sell out quickly, so get your tickets now!

Isaac Brock and the rest of Modest Mouse will continue their second national tour since We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank came out in 2007. 2006 addition Johnny Marr (from The Smiths) will be on-hand along with Jim Fairchild from similarly defunct band Grandaddy on guitar. Given the time that's passed since their last LP, it's a near certainty that Brock & Co. will debut new material at Terminal 5 this Sunday, as they did before the previous two albums (leading to rather breakneck bootlegging and filesharing). Things have quieted down since the success of Good News For People Who Love Bad News, so now would be a great time to see the band in a smaller space before they inevitably blow up again. Need tickets? Get them right here at NYC.com!

Former Smiths frontman and persistently tongue-in-cheek singer Morrissey is really promoting his new album, Years Of Refusal, with vigor. After booking only one show in New York at the Webster Hall on March 25th, the Moz added another show at the Bowery Ballroom on March 21st. Apparently, that wasn't enough for either Morrissey or the droves of fans he's accumulated through a rather critically-successful solo career away from the Smiths, so he added a show at, where else: Carnegie Hall on March 26th. Don't be fooled by the sudden surge of shows for the Smiths singer, though, because these shows will sell out. So get your tickets right now, right here at NYC.com!

Acclaimed guitarist and composer Gyan Riley's trio will perform at The Stone tonight, March 5th. Just back from an extensive tour of Europe, Riley is no stranger to New York: as a composer and solo artist, he has received commissions from organizations like Carnegie Hall on numerous occasions. Riley's masterful prowess on the guitar is matched by the ferocity of Timb Harris on violin and Ches Smith on drums. Tickets are $10 at the door, students 13-18 get half-price admission!

While the Prodigy haven't enjoyed the same level of mainstream notoriety they did when "Firestarter" and "Breathe" were hit singles, they continue to raise a bar they themselves set a decade earlier. Liam Howlett's big-beat programming still looms large enough to have attracted legendary Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl to record percussion for the group's 2008 release Invaders Must Die, but it's their live show that remains the reason for their continued success: manic frontmen Keith Flint and Maxim's hyper-energetic stage presence consistantly packs houses across the world. A sold out show is expected for The Prodigy's March 26th concert at Roseland Ballroom, so get your tickets sooner rather than later, right here at NYC.com!

From frontman for alt. rock giants Soundgarden to singer for supergroup Audioslave to composing James Bond theme songs, Chris Cornell has done pretty much everything, including two solo albums. While Euphoria Morning was a real evolutionary leap, Carry On was a middling adventure, cobbling together disparate singles along with a questionable cover of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and the aforementioned theme from Casino Royale. Not one to stay down, Cornell teamed up with hip hop producer Timbaland, who most recently reinvented Justin Timberlake on his Futuresex/Lovesounds album, for the new release, Scream. Even if his albums have wavered back and forth, Chris Cornell's live shows have always been a sort of holy grail for concert-goers, and his two-night stay at Webster Hall should be no exception to the rule. You know his name: get your tickets right here at NYC.com!
