Hardcore tour Taste Of Chaos will take over the Nokia Theatre on March 4th, bringing heavyweights Thursday to the headlining forefront of the show. It's a homecoming of sorts for the punk band, who hail from nearby New Brunswick, New Jersey and are no strangers to the New York music scene. Their new album, Common Existence, came out just two weeks ago. The wildly popular boys from Thursday will be joined by Bring Me The Horizon, Four Year Strong, Pierce The Veil, and the... Cancer Bats. No word on their relation to goofball ska band the Aquabats. Dress lightly for this show, as the house is expected to throb with the moshing mashes. Oh, and be sure you get your tickets right here at NYC.com!

There are few bands that bring to mind the phrase "arena rock" quite so perfectly as Motley Crue. After all, Tommy Lee did, at one point, doing a drum solo while his kit—and himself—spun in mid-air. It's hard to tell whether they're calling this the Crue 2 Fest or the Saints of Los Angeles tour, but it's a no-brainer that some serious hearing loss will be happening in the Garden on March 16th. The tour is in support of the 2008 album, Saints Of Los Angeles, which debuted at #4 on Billboard and is the first original-lineup Crue album since 1997's Generation Swine. You know the drill: get your tickets now because this show is going to sell out fast.

The senior senator from the United States Congressional Committee on Rhythm, the unimpeachable Prime Minister of the Parliament Funkadelic, Dr. Funkenstein, Funkzilla, The King of Interplanetary Funksmanship, the Atomic Dog, the Master of Ceremonial Funkiness. Massive signposts that point directly to one man: George Clinton. The inimitable, bearded madman of funk is coming to the B.B. King Blues Club on Thursday, February 26th. Springsteen fans will tell you that seeing the Boss live is like a religious experience; George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, on the other hand, are intergalactic funk prophets whose shows are state-certified holy houses. You will be converted, indoctrinated, purified and sanctified by the funk. You will sweat out your sins. Clinton will drive the demons from your body. And on most nights, the encore will send you straight to heaven. There's a reason his music is the most sampled in hip hop, after all. Get your tickets now before they're gone!

In what ought to be a spectacle ramp-up to St. Patrick's Day, the legendary Pogues will play three nights at the Roseland Ballroom starting March 12th. Frontman Shane MacGowan is a whole show unto himself, and with the Pogues behind him, it's pure unintelligible brilliance. The Saturday show was added due to the high demand on tickets, and, judging from sales so far, it looks like Roseland may just keep adding dates until the Pogues have to move to New York for good. In the meantime, a ticket famine is expect, so better get yours right now!

The Beacon Theatre is really coming alive in the wake of its great renovation with a roster of concerts that would make anyone sweat like an addict looking for a fix. On Saturday two of the most imposing figures in blues will stand side-by-side and show all succeeding generations how it's done. Guitarists B.B. King and Buddy Guy have their pick of venues as solo artists, and together, the whole world is literally theirs for the choosing. For those of us peons who must pay for the privilege of King & Guy taking the stage must move fast because tickets will disappear quicker than the economy: better get your tickets now!

Ne-Yo, bolstered by his two platinum selling albums and the still relatively new Year Of The Gentleman, will take the stage for two nights at Radio City Music Hall. While Ne-Yo is headlining, Musiq Soulchild's resume is no less impressive for having second billing. With two platinum albums and two gold albums of his own, the genre-bending soul musician is every bit the draw that Ne-Yo is, even if he's not quite the presence at the box office that his headliner is. Both shows are expected to sell out, so get your tickets right here at NYC.com!

The musical "Sex Bomb" himself, Mr. Tom Jones, will be appearing at Bowery's Terminal 5 on Tuesday, February 24th. The Welsh singer, probably best known for his massive hit "It's Not Unusual," as well as his title track appearances on Thunderball and What's New, Pussycat?, is still touring on his 2008 album 24 Hours. If you're excited by the idea of seeing Tom Jones perform new material for the first time in fifteen years, you'd better get your tickets before they sell out!

Actor, musician, and part-time goof Loudon Wainwright III will bring his curious style to the Blender Theatre at the end of the month, promoting his upcoming album Recovery. The musician has been riding high lately on his association with Judd Apatow's films, and the show is sure to sell out, so get your tickets now.
Not to be outdone, Loudon's son Rufus Wainwright will be playing one of the city's most intimate and unique new venues, the City Winery, on March 4th. The former Chelsea Hotel resident will be disappearing to England for the premiere of his opera Prima Donna, so this will likely be the last chance fans will have to see him on this side of the Atlantic for a while. Need tickets? Get them right here!

Just in case you're in panic mode trying to figure out something to do this weekend with your valentine—or want to get out of the house because you don't have one—here's a quick roundup of what's going on in the city this weekend:
Friday, there are more than a few big-name acts making back-to-back appearances: Anita Baker at Radio City Music Hall, legendary New Yorker Paul Simon at the Beacon Theatre, and soul singer and funk revivalist Sharon Jones at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square.
That doesn't mean there's nothing going on on Valentine's Day itself, though! You can see jam band Moe at Terminal 5 or Freddie Jackson at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. If you need something with a little more pop, try a little Latin music with Marc Anthony at Madison Square Garden. Then there's also the repeat performances of Anita Baker, Sharon Jones, and Paul Simon!
Once Sunday comes and you need to unwind from the stress of planning the perfect V-Day, wake up with the Harlem Gospel Choir or have a late start with the target="_blank">70's Soul Jam at the Beacon. Then you can choose between spending the night with R&B legend Al Jarreau at the Nokia or infamous Guinness drinkers and Celtic punk-rockers Flogging Molly at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Valentine or not, it's going to be a great weekend for music lovers!

It's been a busy decade for the ostensibly broken-up Toad The Wet Sprocket. It's been that long since Toad released any new songs (two came with the 1999 hits compilation P.S.), but Glen Phillips has recorded and released three solo albums, while Toad spinoff Lapdog released a few of their own. The band has toured on and off, though, and on February 26th, they're making a rare appearance in New York at the infamous Webster Hall. The golden boys of the 90's alternative explosive charted a fair few singles and enjoy a pretty loyal fanbase, so be sure to get your tickets now, right here at NYC.com.

Tommy James—of Tommy James And The Shondells fame—will perform at the B.B. King Blues Club on February 10th. The performer and writer of hits like "Mony Mony" and "Crimson And Clover" may have a biography coming out this year and a film based on his life, but he's far from done living his life story or coming up with new musical footnotes. Be sure to get your tickets now!

The band The Guardian claims "reignited the blues" is coming to ignite Terminal 5 for two dates in February. The scaled-down blues band—comprised of a drummer and a guitarist/singer, first go attention with their album Thickfreakness and garnered more commercial success with Rubber Factory. While it's been almost a year since Attack & Release came out, the album continues to gather critical acclaim, with the single "I Got Mine" being chosen as one of Rolling Stones' 100 Best Songs of 2008. It's not so much a question of whether you should see them live so much as a question of whether you can even get tickets at this point. Of course you can! We've got tickets to the Black Keys right here!

When the Knitting Factory closed its Tribeca doors in December, it cast more than a few things about the New York music scene into doubt. Not least of which was the future of Hip-Hop Karaoke, the irreplaceable and seemingly inimitable monthly event held there. While the Knitting Factory is set to open its moderately smaller doors again in May—this time in Williamsburg—Hip-Hop Karaoke isn't waiting around, although it too is moving to Brooklyn. Starting February 20th, Southpaw will host the event as it resumes its monthly status. Sign-ups start at 9:30pm, performances start at 10:30pm, and DJ Wex will fill in from the last performer to last call with some classic hip-hop DJing, while producer Blockhead will spin before the show.

Perhaps one of the city's most well-known and renowned songwriters and certainly one of Greenwich Village's most iconic figures, Paul Simon will return to New York for two nights to play a reopening of sorts for the Beacon Theatre. The former half of Simon & Garfunkel will likely play songs from all across the broad spectrum of his career and will no doubt evoke a few of the crowd pleasers from the infamous Concert In Central Park. Both shows promise to be memorable and for anyone stumped for a last-minute Valentine's Day gift, a night out with Paul Simon's pretty hard to beat.
It's probably no surprise that you can get tickets to the show right here!

Legendary troubador and rock 'n' roller Van Morrison will play Madison Square Garden's Wamu Theater for a two night stint on Februray 27th and 28th. Each show will feature two different sets by Morrison, as well as two different backing bands; Morrison's first set will be a jacket-to-jacket performance of the album Astral Weeks and the second will feature a collection of his rarer—but no less classic—tunes. Before you miss the wild night (we've heard tell that it's calling), get your tickets right here at NYC.com.
