We went there last Tuesday night at 5.45 approx. We were told to wait as the kitchen was not yet open so we went for a short walk and returned ten minutes later. We were shown to a nice table upstairs. Our waitress took our drinks order and returned with it in a few minutes however our food order was a different matter. After 20 minutes we asked how long our food would be and we were told the burgers had to be "fired up" (whatever that means) and that they woudl be 7 - 10 minutes. After over ten minutes (total 30 minutes wait) we had still not received our food. We asked the waitress and she said she was sorry and could she get us some almonds while we were waiting and they should be out any minute. We declined the almonds and (stupidly) waited ten more minutes. After a total wait of 40 minutes we asked our waitress where the food was. She apologized (not very sincerely) and told us the food would be right out and it would be paid for as it had taken a long time. Needless to say it did not come right out so we left. Is it possible racism played a part in the awful service we received? Apart from an Asian couple sitting close by, we were the only non-white people in the place - the diners sitting next to us managed to get their 3-course meal during the time we were waiting for our food. The food may well deserve more than a 1 rating but as we never received it we will never know!
