I have always been a fan of the Neptune Diner until last night. I was enjoying myself with friends and then the mood was broken. A waiter bumped into another waiter, who poured hot coffee directly on my back. I screamed. We received no apology, and the manager didn't even come to see how I was. No help was offered. My friend asked for a glass of ice, which I held on my back for the remainder of my time at the diner. The waiters avoided our table like the plague.
I was hurting and wanted to leave, but they wouldn't give us the check. Finally a friend of mine went to speak to the manager about the situation with our bill. They offered no reduction to the bill because of the incident. The manager said, "well, the coffee wasn't that hot" My friend countered with, "you serve your customers luke warm coffee?"
After a very uncomfortable discussion, the manager agreed to $15 off our bill, which seems very insignificant considering that hot coffee was poured on me. Needless to say, I will not be returning to the Neptune Diner!
