Ziggy played guitar...
...But the schoolkids in the 19th century didn't. All the anachronisms in the show aside, it makes for a great musical to conflate the distant past and the present. With great choreography by Bill T. Jones and a touch of flamboyance to boot, Wedekind's old play has a new musical life here. My conclusion? The kids are alright, but just alright.
