attention Dylan lovers!
Twyla Tharp, who generally gets things just right, hasn't succeeded here. The dancing and jumping and thumping action seems about right, but how on earth is this supposed to mirror or reflect the great Bob Dylan? That's where it doesn't quite cut the mustard. I'm unconvinced by this production.

Agree, Looks like a bit too much spectacle to really channel Dylan. Maybe something with a Grapes of Wrath-type storyline that chronicles the past 50 years through Dylan's music. Not circuses. --Too bad, Tharp's much too talented to do formula-based musicals.
