Mendacity!
Remember "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and that wonderful word mendacity: "What's that smell in this room? Didn't you notice it, Brick? Didn't you notice the powerful and obnoxious odor of mendacity in this room?" The four characters in this play are hilarious and cutthroat, liars and narcissists, and in short: allegorical figures. You know these archetypes. Go see it for its great roles: Diane, the toughass agent; Mitchell, the closet case actor; Alex, the rentboy; and Ellen, the warped.
