you have to admire and pity Butley
If you saw "The Producers" and loved Nathan Lane, you'll love him even more in this challenging and clever role. Pity poor Buckley, a brilliant scholar, who can't hack it any more. His relationships—personal, professional, etc.—all seem to be crumbling. Yet his wit and verbal abilities keep this play going and going and going through many terrific moments.
