Your 33 Black Angels rock the Continental!

Pros: Original, soulful, danceable, catchy, solid.
Cons: None...

Back on February 11 , during the blizzard of '06 when the city all but shutdown, Your 33 Black Angels absolutely rocked a packed house at the world-famous Continental for over an hour and a half. According to the very friendly man at the door, three of the bands scheduled that night had cancelled, and what I figured would turn into an early night for me became a spectacle of a band plowing through almost thirty original songs, and making whoever was there completely forget about the menacing weather outside. After a sparkling rendition of what sounded like an old (THE REAL KIND) country tune - but what I learned from the band to be called 'City Song' - the band took a five minute break where I saw the keyboard player and the bassist take a shot of jack daniel's and fill up on beer. Then the band hit the stage again and totally brought the house down! It was great! And NO COVERS! It was one of the best shows I've seen this year and I can't wait until tomorrow night.
