A single screen theater....in Manhattan? AMAZING!
Pros: clean, large and old-fashioned
Cons: will probably be converted to multiplex soon....or closed.
UA East 85th Street is probably one of the few single screen movie houses left in America. A large auditorium, an enormous screen and a killer sound system....it's a lovely throwback to earlier times. Enjoy it while you still can. Something so wonderful can't possibly last very much longer. The multiplex greed will surface as soon as the owners find a way.
