Popover's is a neighborhood favorite, obvious by its long lines at brunch. Their brunch is good, too: the flopover is a favorite, and their omelettes satisfy. The popovers themselves fall into a love-'em-or-hate-'em category; fresh out of the oven and slathered in strawberry butter, I fall into the former, but I've heard others call them "eggy disasters." Their salads and sandwiches are satisfying, but my personal favorite was the daily "soup and popover" special: for a reasonable price you could get the hot popover and one of their delicious soups. This special, however, has been marred by the permanent inclusion of beef and cabbage borscht as one of the daily soups....
