Cold War treasure trove under Brooklyn Bridge

Most amazing about the find of 352,000 decades-old biscuits in an abandoned fallout shelter under the Brooklyn Bridge is that they were found during a "routine" inspection. Makes you wonder how effective those boobs at the Department of Transportation really are. Since the stuff was there for decades—i.e. over 40 years—you have to wonder about these freaks with city jobs. I used to walk under the Brooklyn Bridge en route to work in lower Manhattan years ago. I'd see the occasional worker in the morning, or skateboard kids late in the day and on weekends. But the idea that these morons have neglected to inspect this room containing a huge treasure trove from the cold war for decades—decades!—makes you wonder how ill-prepared this city is as we slowly approach five-year anniversary after 9/11.
What were these boobs thinking?
"Uh, I ain't got the key for that room."
"Don't look in there, that's Dorky's job."
"Nobody goes in dere, it's haunted."
"Ah fuhgeddabout it, it's time for a hawt dawg."

(and so on)
