best free deal in NYC
Pros: awesome fun
Cons: cold in winter
OF all the free attractions in NYC, the Staten Island Ferry is my favorite. You can't go wrong: there are new terminals on the Manhattan side and Staten Island side; it's a quick boat ride with spectacular views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty; you can take all the pictures you want; and you don't need to reserve. You just show up.
