So I decided to give you guys some tips on where to go and when to go... so you too can get the best out of this amazing city. Mondays. Tantra: One of the sexiest places in South Beach, terrible food at astronomical prices... but after 11 pm the place rocks. The bar area floor is live grass, a drummer follows the tribal sexy beats and the tiny dance floor is packed with gorgeous man and women in their tiny tops and Seven Jeans. Just make sure you go eat elsewhere and arrive early. Drinks are pricey too. Crobar. One of the coolest mixed parties is happening at the Cavernous Crobar a few blocks away. The party is called " Back Door Bambi" and the entrance is through the back door. This is the real good ole days south beach vibe.. Gay, Straight, Trannies, hookers, everything goes .. DJ's Shannon and GIGI spin 80's, House and a little bit of everything that's good. Tuesdays. Metro Bar & Kitchen. Another beautiful restaurant on the Beach, located in the sleek basement of the legendary Astor Hotel. Party starts around 11:00 when the regular diners are about to go home and make room to a professional 30 something crowd who keep coming back for the well mixed drinks, good music and nice surroundings. When ( If You) get bored.... go to Rumi on Lincoln Road there's always a lot of people there... mostly Hip-Hop and mostly college kids. Wednesdays. Go to Dinner @ China Grill. Where Ingrid Casares, ( Madonna's former gal pal) hosts Dinner Club Wed...From 10 to??? and then... go to B.E.D for Michael Capponi's Long Running weekly party. Where the beautiful people go... and the not so beautiful who can manage to get in... just stare at them. This place is awesome! Thursdays. Jacques Garcia, the designer of the world famous Hotel Costes in Paris created the the VICTOR HOTEL where a dinner party happens at the restaurant Vix... and a boring nonsense gathering happens near the pool area on the rooftop. Go for dinner but skip the party and go... either to the Sky Bar @ the Shore Club Hotel or to Mansion ( A nightclub normally good on saturdays....but just recently started getting packed on Thursdays as well) Fridays. Do yourself a favor and go to the SETAI. One of the newest hotel/ condo in South Beach. Daily Room Rate - $900 and a 3 Bedroom apartments is on sale for $8 million. The place is breathtaking. If you can get a reservation go without even thinking...... but knowing that you're going to spend some serious cash... and even if you can't just go.... sit by the huge pond and order a some fizz - Veuve Clicquot (16) or Krug ( 60) ( - 2 please! :P) )... Close your eyes after the first sip... and feel as if you were on the lobby of a nice Hotel in Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok. I fell in love with this place and the attention to the details. ok.. Enough of the SETAI. You can also try the swanky steakhouse Prime 112, The romantic Wish Restaurant, or maybe just some sushi at the Delano Hotel.... Whatever you do.. make sure you hit one of the following spots before 11:30 Prive. The VIP room for Opium Gardens... that grew so big at became it's own club. More lounge than Club. Very cool vibe. Mynt. The animals at the door are trained to bite and kick whoever they consider a misfit.. and they succeed. The crowd is great, the place... was better in the past. but the well mixed , expensive drinks, the good music and the amazing videos they play make it fun. Tiny... and it helps if you get a bottle... since the place is not very big. If money is not a issue.. order a magnum of Champagne.. they come with indoor fireworks... and everyone in the club will know you're ready to party... don't forget to bring the AMEX Black... it will really help. Nocturnal. One of the newest venues in the city... in the middle of the up and coming downtown area. a multi-level place. .. ok crowd.... ok place... but is cheaper than going to South Beach. and i think is more for normal/real people. The dj's from the DHM ( Deep House Movement ) kick ass and keeps everybody happy and they also bring celeb djs every once in a while... (i.e.: Dimitri From Paris, Miguel Miggs) Saturdays Go to Nicky Beach during the day.. or just go to the beach on ocean and 8th.... then go back home/hotel... relax... and at night get ready to go to The Pawnshop Lounge an former pawnshop converted into one of the coolest clubs in the country... One of the VIP Areas is inside a bus, the other one an airplane... trailer and so on... Paris Hiltons... performed ( and was booed) at the opening.... 80's , 90's and today's music....
