Drama with Trama

Pros: none
Cons:

I'm glad your experience at Trama was enjoyable, because mine was nothing like that at all. In fact, it was dispicable! I am very disappointed at the "well known" Trama Motorcycle & Auto School. First off, after signing up for the course and being placed on the waiting list, I was never called. Two months went by. When I finally called Trama, I was told classes had already started, yet no one even bothered to let me know. I signed up for the next available class as well as for a private lesson. Two weeks went by and I was never sent the address or directions for the private lesson. When I called again, I was told they didn't have my complete address and could I give it to them. When I finally took my private lesson, which lasted 45 minutes, I was bluntly discouraged from taking the class (I have never been on a motorcycle before so of course I made lots of mistakes. But it was a 45 minute lesson for God's sake!) because I would be "holding the other students back," and told to cancel IMMEDIATELY to avoid the $100 late cancellation fee. The instructor even had the nerve to tell me to practice my turning and braking on a bike! Before I even left the parking lot, I called Trama, but no one answered. When I called the next day, I was told I would have to pay the $100 because I didn't call within a weeks time. Never mind they closed at 4pm and my lesson ended at 5:45! Never mind the fact that I went through a similar experience with Trama last year when I tried to sign up for the course. Perhaps, because I have never ridden before, Trama just doesn't have the patience to teach me. I guess they prefer people with more riding experience because it makes their job a lot easier. Perhaps, that was why they were always so lackadaisical about calling me when classes started. I was finally mailed a refund check, which took over a week to arrive, and only after I had called yet again. I was told the envelope was on the desk and the boss never mailed it. When I finally receive my refund check, to show the utter pettiness and unprofessionalism of Trama, it was minus $10! I guess this was their way of sticking it to me one last time!I love motorcycles and will not let this bad experience with Trama dampen my enthusiasm for learning how to ride a motorcycle. I will find a school that treats its customers, especially the least experienced, as myself, with respect, patience, and encouragement.
