brilliant
Pros: superior in all aspects
Cons: too bad it is closed
While it was open, Dia: Chelsea was the trendsetting pioneer that lured most the established galleries to Chelsea. With its terrific full-floor multi-month exhibits, Dia was a powerful draw, along with permanent light sculpture and rooftop sculpture designed by Dan Flavin. I remember some particularly wonderful Katharina Fritsch, Robert Gober and On Kawara exhibits. The ground floor tiling and shop were also terrific.
