If you love your pet, don't go here!

Pros: In Bay Ridge - great neighborhood
Cons: Amateur staff, Doctor should've paid more attention in vet school

Dr. Appel is terrible! He's uncaring, condescending and harsh. In my experience, he fabricated my pet's condition in order to pad the bill. After a second opinion from another, more reputable vet, I found out that he was completely false in his assessment. So, either he's just not very good at being a vet or a big liar. I choose both.

"Bee in her bonnet"

Pros: Caring. Dedicated. Experienced empathetic staff. True animal lovers.
Cons: None

We, the staff of the Fifth Avenue Veterinary Hospital, wish to jointly defend our doctor's fine reputation for 29 years at our hospital by a malicious person who stormed our office, was threatening and unsatisfiable for reasons a qualified mental health care professional can best explain.
Dr. Appel has an impeccable record. A graduate veterinarian of Cornell University,
he has served the community for 29 years. What other doctor never leaves the office till 11pm-1am so as to meet all his patients and owners needs, gives his cell phone number to his clients so they can be assured of support nights, weekends and holidays, stays overnight with sick and injured animals on a too often basis because he knows he just should, will take an ill pet home with him for continued overnight or weekend care and spends what little free time he has, for years, on a project for STRAYS?
To any reader who has been misled by this personal, ill placed "review", keep in mind, anyone... can just do it. There is no scrutiny of events, evaluation of someone's mental condition, or any need to validate anything. We are dismayed.
