Moving, Inspiring, Fascinating
I saw this amazing documentary last night at the Village East. It takes behind the conflict in Sudan in unique and revelatory ways through the life story of a former child soldier, sold to the army at the age of 7, who was rescued and educated and who became an international hip hop star using his music as a springboard to peace and educational development in Sudan and Kenya. A sad story, a terrifying story, an inspirational story. A triumphant film. We Americans live such an isolationist existence. This film will wake you and involve you in the world we really do live in. It needs our awareness.
