I just bought a "Worry Free" Lemon Poppy muffin from my local deli and I was so disappointed in the product that I decided to find a way to try to let Bake Masters know how bad this muffin is. First of all, I didn't really appreciate that the manufacturers think that there are TWO and 1/2 servings in a tiny muffin, or at least divide the nutrition facts in this way to make it seem that there may only be 167 calories in the whole muffin - which probably should be the case if it's supposed to be low fat (I've definitely seen great products for 200 calories or less that had infinitely more taste and in ONE serving at that). Second, I would not argue with this IF the muffin actually TASTED GOOD. Not only is this muffin falsely advertised as worry-free for not really being a true low-fat product, it's also falsely marketed as LEMON-flavored. Unless my taste buds have gone dead, I did not taste an ounce of what could have qualified as a lemon flavor in this muffin. Yes, maybe I should have taken a hint from "lemon flavor" being listed as the second to last ingredient in the muffin, only behind salt, but I wasn't thinking to analyze a muffin this deeply before buying it. I was merely thinking of enjoying it - worry free, as promised. I guess in the end the only thing that did end up being true about the muffin is its claim of being 96% fat free - mostly because I left it 96% uneaten. (Never been to the restaurant so the ratings - except for food - can be ignored.)
