Of all the strange weather out here...we have snow in Valencia (where Magic Mountain is) which is not all that high of an elevation at least not much higher than Burbank. It is raining here but that could change. Silly Californians are stopping on the roads to watch the snow fall!! We have lost so much in our agriculture, our orchards and crops as well as plants in peoples yards. The plumbers are being kept busy with all of the pipe breakages. You all back there are thinking, OK, that happens here a lot. But for California it is on the unusual side.

We continue to have sub normal temperatures here. Los Angeles proper has been in the 30s, while here in the Valley we have been in the 20s, with everything freezing. The bird bath has become a bird skating rink!! Patches of ice are on the sidewalks where sprinklers have gone on and the water has frozen. Water mains are freezing and bursting, leaving many without water. In the high desert, the city of Lancaster had temps of 3 degrees. Our orchards are under freeze watch and many grove masters are burning smudge pots to keep the crops from freezing. The last time I was this cold was back in NYC on December 8!!!! BRRRRR....

WOW! Another blast of arctic air out here. It is currently in the 30s. We have had snow in some lower elevations. And New York is still enjoying a mild winter.
I thought I would put the above photo I took of the Bow Bridge just cause it's so pretty.

My nose is getting tired of all this sneezing from the high winds and dry air for the last couple of weeks. More fires are burning...gosh, does THAT ever stop? At least no bad smells out here unless dust is a bad smell!!! Are we sure that the obnoxious gas odor is not from some politicians? We all know they are big smelly windbags. I guess New York is growing on me or in me...people think I am from NYC. They say I have the personality and I sort of talk that way. So like that old song "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" I guess I left my brain in New York City!!
