Will the famous Capitol Records Building be saved? Bids are in for the land on which this landmark stands. They want to tear it down and put condos up...we need those like a hole in the head. Angelenos and Hollywoodites are petitioning the city to designate this as a historic landmark, and the last I heard, they were making some headway. I personally knew one of the lead architcts who designed the building, Lou Naidorf, who was Dean of the School of Architecture at Woodbury University here in Burbank, when I was attending as an interior design then graphic design student. There are some buildings we need to save, especially if they are unusual and a very recognized part of the skyline. So I am hoping it will be saved. Photo by Scott Supak.
