I am a native Californian who absolutley loves New York City. I visited in 2004 for a medical conference and try to get back when I can. I make it a point to attend this conference every year so I can play in my favorite city.

What IS it???



I am doing a little sleuthing to find out what this building is.  It is in Midtown and I thought it was cool so I took the picture.  Don't know the name.  Maybe someone out there knows.  Help!

Brrrrr....What Happened?


I have been home for a week now and it is suddenly freezing out here!  We have had freeze warnings because it has been in the 30's (farenheit).  What?? Freezing in California?  I swear I brought some of the cold air from December 8 back with me from New York.  Anyway, I think winter has arrived already.

Back Home Again and This Now Famous Guy



Well, my stay in New York City was really fun and too short.  When I got home I felt like I hadn't gone!  WAHHH! I took a lot of pictures, including the fellow above.  I was taking pictures of Madison Square Garden and this guy asks if I could take a picture of him.  I guess the by the look on my face, he said "Am I not pretty enough?" So I took this picture.  He was a funny guy, posing and all and then stated that he was now famous.  So, if you are out there, buddy, here ya are...you're famous on NYC.com!!

It Feels Like I never Left


I am here!!! What's strange is that I feel like I've been here all along.  It is a little bit chilly, but I prepared myself back in CA when we had our cold snap.  Most of the time I haven't needed a coat, just my sweater...OK, weird...but with all the walking I have been doing, I am warm.  My big complaint is that the insides of the buildings are so hot.  I have already done so much since I arrived on Sunday afternoon.  I am going to have lunch with a good friend who lives near Pelham Bay in The Bronx.  She works here in Manhattan.  It will be nice to see her again.  OK, gotta go.  So much to see and do here.  On my way to Macy's!!
