Leg of Lamb to Go
Pros: location, leg of lamb, selection of sauces
Cons: service staff with fake fingernails
Located in Grand Central, this meat market offers high quality lamb, beef and pork, some pre-marinated and ready to pop on the grill or into the oven. Also available are ham, pasta sauces and other Italian-inspired acoutrements that a busy commuter can grab on the run. Personally, I don't like to have my food (even if it is packaged) handled by employees wearing decorated acrylic nails, which is the only drawback here. They should be wearing rubber gloves at all times. Otherwise, the product is good and the servie is good, except early in the morning when there may or may not be a cashier. At rush hour, you have to make your intent to purchase known, but once you do the service is friendly and quick.
