Cheney shoots wrong target – perfect metaphor for his failed Iraq War

Our illustrious Vice President, Dick Cheney, has once again proven what an inept leader he truly is, mistaking his poor human companion for pint-sized avian prey. Yes, this is the perfect metaphor for his Iraq War – he can’t use the equipment properly, can’t find the right target, and will take it out anyone who gets in the way. The quail was the only winner in this buffoon-inspired accident.

Cheney’s roll down Blunder Boulevard continues while we ask ourselves “for how long”. It is unimaginable to most reasonable people that he is where he is and that he has dragged us along with him into one of the darkest chapters of American History (unless of course you like Imperialism on the global scale). Let’s review:

1. Inept CIA and FBI information gathering led to tragedy on 9/11. He was reviewing the info (him like to play cowboy, him like to play spy!)

2. Inept knowledge of the world map - not knowing up from down led Cheney to Iraq, when all indicators were pointing to Afghanistan and Pakistan. (Cheney fears Afghanistan more than he fears a liberal at one of his meat-based dinner parties, so it is no real shock that he missed this target).

3. Paranoia led him to push for consolidation of virtually all government departments into Homeland Security, which sounds so much like Franco’s “todo para la patria” that chills are running down millions of spines. This of course led to the Katrina debacle, and now all the fingers are pointing at DHS – at least Brownie’s big fat finger is. He couldn’t wait to pass that dirty buck, could he! I guess he’s lucky that he’s not the one who was hunting with Cheney.

4. Cheney’s desire for oil and profits from that same substance have led him to direct our attention to Iran. So, when GWB II got up from the throne and announced that America was addicted to oil, he should have said, “America, like Dick Cheney, is addicted to oil.”

5. Cheney’s inability to see through his own myopic eyeballs led him to shoot and seriously wound his friend. Damn!

What more could we ask of our Vice President? We can only ask that he does his best to look after the public trust, and that’s what he has been doing, his best, which is blunderingly abysmal.
