Murray Hill East Suite Hotel

In:

Hotels

2.5

NYC.com travelers give Murray Hill East Suites mixed reviews.
Many guests find the décor and construction old and dated: “The walls are paper thin and the furniture dates from the 50s”, “no internet, no room service and no sleep – too noisy!”, “while clean the place feels a bit shabby and worn.” However, if you can overlook the less than modern décor other guests find the “location is ideal. Located in a quiet neighborhood by New York standards and close to Grand Central for easy commuting” “Decent bathroom and kitchen” “No room service but a good store nearby and plenty of restaurants.”

2.2

NYC.com users give the Chelsea Hotel Poor reviews
Guests who have booked the Chelsea Hotel through NYC.com are typically intrigued by the hotels colorful history. And if you are 18 – 25 you might indeed find the hotel amusing and exotic. However, if you are expecting typical Hotel service and cleanliness, you should consider looking elsewhere. Typical user comments are: “Old furniture and hair in the sink.” “My sheets weren’t clean” “Dingy looking carpet and fixtures.” “I changed my room three times.”

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel

NYC.com Users give the Carlyle Good Reviews
Many of our users mention the "spectacular lobby" and "famous Carlyle Cafe" and how the Carlyle offers "old world charm and the feeling that you have been transported back to Gotham City in the 20s...glamourous, elegant and fun." However, while the hotel offers a "terrific location" a few of our users were disappointed in the rooms which "are clearly not as luxurious or technologically advanced" as other hotels in the same class. "Rooms are a bit worn and impossibly small. The service, however, is top notch." Overall, NYC.com users recommend the Carlyle for travelers who enjoy "old-world charm," and the feeling of staying ...

Imperial Court Hotel

Hotels

2.2

NYC.com users give the Hotel 307 mixed reviews
While many guests have commented on the "great location" they also point out that the "lobby is the best part of this hotel," and that "if you expect room service look elsewhere." "Beds are uncomfortable and the shower is tiny." "We had no towels and had to wait an eternity to receive some." One traveler seemed to sum it up best when she wrote us that "as long as you go in knowing that you are paying a cheap price to get a tiny room on the upper west side with no service, then you will have a good time."

Park Avenue Hotel

In:

Hotels

1.5

NYC.com users give the Park Avenue Hotel Poor Reviews
The only reason to stay here "is if you are a student or backpacker and cannot afford better." Many clients found the hotel "unclean and rundown." "We had to ask to have the sheets changed and were made to feel unwelcome." If you do stay here, keep in mind you are at least a 30 minute bus ride from Manhattan.
